Employment Law (Unfair Dismissal, Discrimination, Constructive Dismissal)> Askews Solicitors

Employment

Having problems at work or losing your job can be extremely upsetting. We provide friendly and professional advice so that you can find out what your rights are. We can help you to take action to change your situation - or to receive fair compensation for what’s happened.

Whatever your problem at work, call and see if we can help. Here are some of the types of problems we’ve been able to help our clients with:

  • Unfair dismissal or redundancy
  • Discrimination on the grounds of disability, race or sex
  • Constructive dismissal (for example if you felt you had to leave your job because of the way you were treated)
  • Breach of employment contract terms
  • Wages claims
  • Compromise agreements
  • Your rights as an employee when the business you work for is sold.

Call us now on 01642 475252 for expert legal advice about your employment related claim.

Complete our online employment law enquiry form or call us now on 01642 475252 for expert legal advice about your employment query.

We will always seek to resolve your problems via the route that’s best for you. For example, it could include one or more of the following:

  • Writing letters on your behalf
  • Representing you at an Employment Tribunal
  • Mediation
  • Helping you to take action through the Courts or to defend Court proceedings against you.

What Will It Cost?

Generally, you can’t get full government funding (what used to be called ‘Legal Aid’) to pay for your solicitor to help with your employment related claim - although you may be eligible for some limited free advice under the Community Legal Services Legal Help Scheme.

However, at Askews whenever possible we will pursue a claim for our clients on a ‘no win no fee basis’.

It’s also worth checking whether you (your spouse or member of your family living at the same address) have Legal Expenses Insurance included with a Motor or Household Insurance Policy, which you may be able to use to pay for employment related claims. If you have got insurance cover, then Askews can use this to deal with your claim at no cost to you. Remember, as the policy-holder YOU have the right choose your own solicitor. We can speak directly to your insurance company to sort this out for you.

Why Should I Choose Askews?

At Askews we have the experience and the expertise to advise both employers and employees - so you can be confident we know this area of the law inside out.

Askews has been awarded a Legal Services Commission Franchise in Employment and holds a Contract with the Legal Services Commission to provide advice to the community - testament to the high level of service provided by Askews’ employment law team.

We know that many people’s experience of dealing with solicitors is one of frustration, lack of communication and worry. However, at Askews, we are committed to delivering a personal, friendly service to all our clients and we will keep you regularly informed about what’s going on.
